As a compliment to the thread about near death experiences I’d really like hearing people’s experiences of losing consciousness under general anesthesia and what’s it like coming back.

Also interested of things anesthetists may have noticed about this during their career.

    I had it done once for my wisdom teeth and, like everyone else, I was determined to stay awake. They gave me an IV in the back of my hand, i felt a cool sensation move up my arm, I took one look at the clock, and suddenly I was in the car with my dad on the way home. Was the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced. Like “lost time” in the X-files when someone gets abducted by aliens.
