So many people shaming OP in here 😅
They never said they eat it all the time. Calm down everyone; let them enjoy themselves.

As far as I can tell that only shows communities on my own instance, or all communities everywhere. What I’m looking for is a way to browse communities on a different specific instance.
To give an example, I was browsing all posts and saw a post from french instance jlai.lu. I was hoping there was a way to find a list of all their communities somehow.
I never learned typing using any method, just years of practicing writing when I was younger. I think one of the biggest things that will increase your competence is to not look at the keyboard. Force your eyes away and just try to type. This will have more results if you’ve already gotten the basic key layout down at least a bit. You’ll make a lot of mistakes, and when you do try to not look, just move your finger to the next key over and try again. It’s a bit painful to do it this way, but it will make you much more comfortable over time.
I definitely think FO4 has much better gameplay than 3. I replayed Vegas a while back and while it’s an awesome game in so many ways, the gameplay feels archaic compared to 4. You can improve that some with mods but it’s never going to feel as good as the native solution.
4 has weak writing, there’s no doubt, but it improved on 3 in many ways I think. There are really only a couple areas where I think it regressed. Most others it far surpassed.
I absolutely love online lunatics like this (and also they have way too much time on their hands 😅). Gaming wouldn’t be the same without 'em.
It’s pretty far from a realistic military shooter at this point, huh?
I’ve gotten very used to this little free app called Audio Switcher that makes it way easier to switch back and forth between speakers and my headphones.
Well that’s the rumor at least. No actual news about that one yet, right?
They’re a lot of fun actually. Especially if you like open world exploration. They add a lot of very cool maps.
Most of the game is solo-friendly. Some things are very difficult to solo, but if you get really good at the combat system it’s still possible.
Coordinated end game party stuff isn’t my bag so much, so I’m not sure about soloing it. There are a lot of different things you can do with different names that all amount to dungeon/raid style content. The things actually called “dungeons” are all from the original game and are really old at this point. The newer 5 man dungeons are called “Fractals”, and there are also 10 man raids, and 10 man boss only encounters called “Strike Missions” (basically a single raid boss with no dungeon around it).
Gw2 is like the sleeper MMO that no one talks about but everyone still plays. I think the lack of subscription and never raising level cap does that to it. It’s a very welcoming game to pick up and put down as time allows.
I’m probably not the best judge cause I’ve been playing semi regularly since launch, but I’d guess it’s a really good time actually.
Long story short they’ve recently changed to a yearly expansion model with smaller scale expansions that tell more contained stories. The first one was pretty rocky, not gonna lie, but this new one is really good so far.
If you’re someone who wants to go through the entire story and catch up you’ve got a very long road ahead of you (up to you whether that sounds good or not), but if you wanted to get back in quickly the new expansion is a totally reasonable starting point I’d say. You won’t get a lot of the references, but I think you’d still get plenty of enjoyment being dumped in. I’m guessing it would feel like picking up a long running book series on book 20–there are lots of references and characters you don’t know, but it’s also doing its best to catch you up as a new reader and not expecting you’ve read it all.
Aside from story stuff, the game has had a bit of a Renaissance lately and there are a lot of new players from what I can tell.
Guild wars 2 just released a new expac and I’ve been really enjoying it. Lots of people online, so I’d say not dead at all.
Well you see, they wrote the articles with AI.
Thanks for doing what I didn’t have time to!
Also available on GOG for those who prefer.
This one isn’t super new, but Druidstone. It’s a story based tactics game with some RPG elements and it’s just excellently done. I’ve never heard anyone else mention it and I think more people should know about it.
This is correct. Those captchas are tracking everything they can and comparing it to other results to try and figure this out. Mouse movement, delay before you click, everything.
Wow that was a great piece of journalism. Seeing it all aggregated like that I don’t think there can be any doubt that this guy was full of shit, even if what he was doing could be argued to be positive. He used marginalized communities to enrich himself, even if what he made had value, and that is just such a sad and horrible way to get there.
Why did he even feel the need to do so if he had something valuable to give back? This whole thing honestly makes me think of some catfish episodes over the years. The ones where people create such a complex web of fake profiles and don’t know how to stop.
Hopefully it stays that way. I’ve read horror stories about buildings hiring HOA management companies out of nowhere who take over and turn things shitty. 😔
