It’s not gatekeeping, they were trying to save you. I still play from time to time and it’s… Not awful. But for a new player? I can’t even imagine. I’ve introduced 2 people to it and it’s several hours of explaining shit that bungo can’t be bothered to do. Then to kit yourself out to do anything other than basic strikes, it takes a shitload of grinding.
Doesn’t matter if it’s “dead” or not, it’s not really meant to be a massively multiplayer game.
I get pissy about mine sometimes but reading these stories… Holy shit.
Fair enough. But I also don’t agree with the assessment that it would bring more users in. There are already a ton of instances to pick from. While democratizing an instance seems interesting, if I were constantly in the minority for instance changes, it would be better for me to save my money and simply find an instance that aligns with my preferences. You’d also need a pretty significant amount of paid users to be able to pay any sort of salary, plus the additional headache of sorting out payroll for people who are likely in several different countries. If you just wanted to offset server costs that would be significantly smaller in scope, but then no paid mods.
I’m not saying don’t try it (anakin), it could maybe be pretty cool, but it seems like a long shot to me personally.
Sounds like Twitter blue checks.
We need good kids with guns to shoot the bad kids with guns!?
One of mine will occupy any box the instant it is empty. Made for a funny moment when she jumped in a narrow TV box that wasn’t solidly on the ground and slid into it.
I put about 100 hours into starfield and a lot of that wad enjoyable. However, outside of the main story lines, the game really is dogshit. Ship building is frustrating, unlocking stuff is a grind, finding materials is insanely not worth it and I just buy up whatever is in the shop, space flight is AWFUL, outpost building is useless. I had my fun but I will likely never touch it again.
The lockpicking system was a truly shining gem though. Best system in any game I’ve played ever.
Did you learn your lesson?
He hit esc to avoid clicking accept on the nda bit, then bragged about it in the article. There have been other articles about the game, but afaik he’s the only one that was banned for being a smartass.
The story was actually pretty interesting. The mechanics are… Decent. The game outside of the main quests? Don’t even bother.
Oh and fuck settlements and shitty load screen space travel. I loaded up elite dangerous just to feel like I was actually in space for a minute.
Good to hear. We have a pair of sisters pushing 14 and still going strong. They’re part Maine coin and fluffy as hell so we joke that they’re too majestic to ever die.
Depends on how you define “worth it.” Have I spent less money on the printer than I would have buying things I printed? Probably not. However, it has been a blast and great learning experience. Most recently printed landing skids and a camera shroud for a friend’s dji drone which is pretty cool.
One of mine gets into grocery bags and licks them.
In addition to hydration, breathing will help. Take a deep breath in then just keep breathing out. All the way out. Near the bottom of your breath you should find it easier to pee. It’s a nifty trick if you’re a nervous peer or want to empty your bladder when it’s not quite full yet.
Does using “mankind” to refer to humans offend you? Genuine question.
The mid-late seasons of rvb were pretty good. Story got fucking convoluted at the end because they had to turn the silly jokes of the early seasons into honest plot points, but overall an amazing series.
That’s only half the plan. We cut school hours so kids can work in the mines.
