That’s why I’m kinda hoping Apple would adopt standard RCS and then the ball’s on Google for not cooperating.

Nerd, truck driver, and kinda creeped that you’re reading this.

Fedora has always had good Mac support in my experience. Should just be able to hold option key at boot and select the USB.
If you want to continue dual booting I’d use the Mac’s recovery mode to shrink the partition so it leaves space first. Other than that it should be just like normal. Hold option to get the boot menu.
Not really? Conceptually maybe. But if you can install whatever OS you want and aren’t forced to use official distribution methods then that seems pretty PC to me
I’ve never been in tech professionally, I’m a truck driver (now working in the office of company but still drive sometimes) but I have always been into tech. I selfhost as much as possible. Bitwarden, jellyfin, seafile, etc. and also run a Lemmy instance. I like tech projects and control.
Finally, whoever has been maintaining the current one hasn’t let us have RetroAchievement support last I checked
Plastic offgassing mmmhmmhm
The network is blocking your domain but your browser won’t show the block page because the certificate is incorrect.
I’ve had my domain blocked by a few corporate networks for being “potential spam” or some such nonsense.
Theoretically it should only be running during gameplay, and that’s probably true as I’m sure security researchers would’ve pointed it out if games installed a persistently running rootkit. So it’s different than Crowdstrike which was running immediately from boot.
So there is that, if it caused your PC to crash it should be fine after reboot. The driver has God power though as far as your PC goes so if it was the point of entry for a malicious attack you could be really screwed.
Edit: apparently I’m wrong and it runs all the time what the fuck
Debian’s great but not the best choice here.
As someone who has had one come through a windshield can confirm
I mean, you can get the Pi to use EFI and just boot generic images.
My ass with it on watchtower update lmao
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)
Great for kids, and the dry sarcastic humor is great for adults. All around great movie.
another Studio Ghibli
Grave of the Fireflies it is!
I just have a wildcard subdomain record. (CNAME: *.mydomain.com)
Then the traffic gets sent to Traefik which checks the request for what subdomain it is asking for and routes it accordingly.
It’s just two label lines in each docker compose with whatever subdomain I want to use and a minute or two later it’s gotten the certificates and it’s available.
That looks pretty cool. I think it’s just that everyone kinda picked their setup at the start and nobody wants to mess with it anymore lol.
I’ve got traefik setup so that I just add a few lines to a docker compose file and I’ll automatically have a new service running under a new subdomain, with SSL certificate and all. Never have to think about it.
I think a minimum would be open sourcing the server backend, or at least a compatible one, once servers reach EOL.
HEIC is not proprietary to Apple at all, they were just one of the early adopters of it.
My Android phone takes pictures in HEIC/HEIF by default, and it’s not nearly as much of a problem anymore almost all software can handle the format now.
