Can you recommend anything for learning more about this? We’ve been trying to go through the USDA because we cannot afford a down payment, but they require the house to be in basically perfect condition, meaning there’s nothing we can afford.
Same great Dharma, new SolarPunk packaging!

Yeah, I started with 32, upgraded to 40, and then decided screw it and jumped to a half gallon. I keep the 40 around for when I make smoothies or something. It’s oversized, but it has a straw and keeps everything nice and cold
I’m… Gonna need further elaboration
I use a half gallon insulated metal water bottle/jug and it’s incredible. I love it so much, and I couldn’t go back to even a normal sized one. I drink easily a half gallon a day now. I’m about to upgrade to a 1 gallon, because the lid on my half gallon is difficult to open, and the 1 gallon has a much better lid. I know it seems ridiculous, but it made a carry bag for it with a strap to wear almost like a messenger bag. I can carry all my shit and get hydrated at the same time. So fantastic.
Also, buzio is the brand on Amazon (I know. God, I know, but we don’t have a lot of options where I live. If anyone knows a better one, I’d love to hear it). They’re great. Everyone in my family has one in different sizes
This one is sort of very specific and niche, but as a caregiver of someone with an ostomy, you can take a roll of this disposable plastic produce bags from the grocery store. Terrible for use as a produce bag because they’re plastic and disposable and whatnot, but for bag empties when you need to use something disposable no matter what? They’re invaluable.
Also doggy poop bags. Great for that. Just grab one of the small almost empty rolls, and tell the cashier “I’mma take these” and no one gives a shit
Honestly, kind of mind blowing even thinking of them as a technology, they’re so ubiquitous. I use a knife a minimum of 10 times a day, and that’s just in the kitchen, not including opening mail, packages, small medical stuff, and a ton more uses. Holy shit, where would we be without those inclined edges?
Awesome comment to read at 430 in the morning. Thank you
cheesy mystery novel.
Well… I guess I’ll just delete that Google doc I’ve been working on for 2 and a half years! 😭
Thank you for replying so quickly! I’ll email him back and let him know I should be able to get the formatting the same. I really appreciate your advice!
So I just emailed my professor, and he says that I can use fade in if the formatting is the same as final draft, and I buy the license so there’s no watermark. Which sucks, but fuggit it it lets me keep using Linux. Do you know if the formatting is the same? This is only my second ever screenwriting class.
My mom has chronic pain from disabilities and started taking Kratom a few years back. I tried it first to test things out before she started. We misread the instructions, and steeped about 10x more than we should have in orange juice for several hours.
I have never been so sick. OMG. It was 3 days of pure hell.
But here’s the kicker, doing that with any other medication would’ve killed me. This just made me sick. It’s a weird way to begin saying you swear by something, but I swear by the stuff. It is genuinely helpful, and it has an upper limit, so it’s risk for abuse is low. Stuff is great.
The school pays for final draft, and I am poor. But someone else just showed me fade in was free and works with Linux, so I’m gonna try that out!
Oh shit, this I did not know. I just Googled the price and I guess it only showed the paid version. Sweet! Thank you! If this works, I can officially uninstall Windows! That’s literally the last thing holding me to it. :D
It was 8 gigs. Someone else suggested boxes over a VM, would 8 gigs be enough for either of those?
Thank you for the advise! YouTube tutorials, here I come!
I looked into it, but I can’t afford it out of pocket. The school pays for final draft, but won’t cover anything else :/ If I could, that would definitely be my go-to
They require a program called Final Draft. I looked around but couldn’t find an alternative
I will do this. Thank you!
I’ve never run a virtual machine, because I’ve always had, frankly, really shitty laptops. Like… Cheapest of the cheap without being a Chromebook. Only decent computer I’ve ever bought got broken within a month. :(
Can I run VMs on really low end specs? The screenwriting software is the only thing I need it for, and I’m assuming it’s pretty much the same as running a word processor.
I’d imagine it requires about as much as a word processor, since that’s basically what it is. A word processor with a specialized template and some nifty autofill options. Again, dummy here. If I’m running a virtual machine, can I create a file in it that is saved to my actual machine, or would I need to, like, email it to myself using the virtual windows os?
I will do that. Thank you very much
