They can write anything they want in a TOS, doesn’t mean it’s legally enforceable.

I still think this game is shit since I was subjected to the release version and haven’t picked it back up ever since.
Fuck this game and the management that fucked it all up.

If your cat isn’t drinking from it’s water bowl then I suggest getting a fountain that continuously circulates the water.
None of these are legitimate, professional replacements.
sounds like a skill issue
What exactly is your intent here? All you’re doing is further alienating people from even trying Linux when you act like such a shit about people’s genuine issues they might encounter with it.
Mixed DPI multi-monitor support. This coupled with a severe lack of robust CAD and design tools means that it can’t be my daily driver.
Quasimorph should be good fun.
No? You can still buy these publisher’s games from them if you prefer and, as far as I’m aware, steam doesn’t have any stipulations that state once you sell on their platform that you can’t do so on others. In fact, that’s what these publisher’s tried to do. They thought they could easily build their own competing storefronts and reap the money. And, as the article says, they’re now crawling back. Turns out, Valve is pretty good at content delivery while remaining relatively consumer friendly.
More people should look up what a monopoly is before hosing everything with that label.
Does the distinction truly matter?
This isn’t the criticism you think it is. People can have opinions on things they don’t create.
Children are not autonomous and are beholden to another citizen for their existence. That’s a civic relationship too easy to abuse with, what I see to be, very little net benefit.
I’m in support of not taxing children, but how will you distinguish an intentional purchase made by a child vs a purchase made on behalf of someone else for the benefit of a tax-free purchase?
Why were people unkind though?
I mean this is the Internet, dude. It also happens to be filled with humans.
I think there’s a difference between a disability and your race and sexual orientation.
Hrm, your first sentence is a little odd there. It seems to insinuate that there’s a desirable ‘roll’ and not one that we learn to love and embrace (as a form of self-actualization). Even though I was born generally disadvantaged that doesn’t mean I’d want to change the person I am since it’s all a part of me.
Oh no worries! I just assume that everyone else isn’t from the US on Lemmy so I try to contextualize where I can.
There’s a lot of historical and cultural baggage with that term in the US. Specifically concerning its use in reference to house slaves and then freed slaves during and after our reconstruction.
I was referred to as ‘the help’ once. It was said seriously and the person who said it did not see issue with it.
I do not literally build buildings. I design them, I document them for construction, I collaborate with other people who do actually build the buildings to make sure everything’s on the level.
