From what I read, it didn’t even just suck, it was practically fraud. They knew how many sales they had and only stood up enough servers to support around 200 players.

That it’s a religion. Except for a few groups, which I find kind of strange, being an atheist is the lack of religion and belief in a god. It’s not a religion or anything like a religion and so often I see atheism discussed by the religious in religious terms l, as a monolith, and other ways that just totally miss the mark.
Software development is never profitable?
Toxic” is different to everyone though. That’s why these comment sections always go in circles. To some people saying “paradox are crooks and they have no respect for us and they’re ripping us off by using us as beta testers,” is toxic to some. And to others it is seen as constructive criticism. So when someone says “this community is toxic”. I don’t really know what they’re saying. “Toxic” has just become a lazy buzz word that makes discussing this kind of thing pointless.
If you ignore the actual usage of words then you’re speaking your own language and talking only with your own in-group bubble.
This was not a conversation about the political science term “liberal”. It is about lies told to everyone. We’re obviously discussing common usage.
That’s only true if you use the international definition of “liberal”. In America, “liberal” means “left wing”. And we’re talking about American politics.
“Democrats are liberal/progressive”
In reality, they’re pretty conservative.
If you don’t cringe at some of your behaviors 10 years ago, then you’re either a a teenager or somehow stopped maturing.
Essentially popular music is made via assembly lines owned by manufacturers now.
The companies that run these assembly lines aren’t going to rock the boat like that. Writers that neither made the music nor will have any part of recording or performing are making a product. It’s not a passion project, so they aren’t going to write protest lyrics either. In the 60s and 70s, there was a lot of popular music that really was made by individual artists and bands.
Today, there is plenty of protest music. It’s just not popular music because it doesn’t have as much industry backing.
I always hated that about redditers. They love to pretend they don’t understand people and then feel like they get bonus points if they can intentionally misconstrue your statements to be offensive or wrong.
Gaming and tech “journalism” would benefit so much from reducing the snark over their currently obnoxious levels.
I know someone who works in IT at a place where they found that keystrokes rose 40% in office and significantly more work was completed as measured by story points. Keystrokes aren’t a great way to measure productivity, but it’s very suspicious that people somehow had to type less when they have to type to talk to anyone and often don’t have to in office.
It’s not perfectly scientific, but businesses pretty much never have scientific data to work with and the evidence they have says people overall are more productive in office.
As a population, that isn’t a realistic course of action. It won’t work for even most parents that care to try.
The article states that the 15 sales were for multiple platforms and 16 is for one platform.
I’m wishing that they’d make one like Lost Odyssey. But 9 would be great too.
FF16 sold really well though. Square Enix likes making unrealistic expectations for their games and they do it every time. I don’t think they even believe their expectations are real. The real reason for their share loss is increased operational costs.
Ultimately, I agree with you and that’s why I’m against these laws, but I really do wish there was a good way to do it anonymously. Porn is not good for kids and it’s pretty much impossible to keep them away from it without drastic measures that are more harmful than porn.
Is it? They wrote “75% of LA’s population”.
75% of LA’s population lives outdoors? Is that a typo, because it’s obviously not true. Even the 6% you state for New York seems very unlikely.
In the book, I remember that sookie says that someone “had her engine running like the pace car at the indie 500”or something like it.
