That’s annoying. Part of the reason for local media is reducing the amount of monthly bills
What’s the state of apps like kodi or other methods of local streaming on Apple TV?

I miss my e280… With Rockbox, it got me through high school, getting to play Pokémon Silver on it
I got a used Fuze v1 off of eBay that works only as long as it boots rb from SD card, the internal flash now dead
Congrats from across the pond. I hope we in the US might soon see similar figures…
I mean, I imagine a primary reason is also that the mainline distros don’t use it by default, necessitating one to look for “spins/flavors/whatever” that use it instead.
I’ve been seeing both recently. I’ve opted to err on the same side and just make it clear when I’m talking about spinning rust versus solid state.
To be fair, I did have a comma after that. The $50 included litter, which should be changed at least every 2 weeks, and is currently about $18 for the stuff that works best in my household.
So here’s my perspective: you should get a cat you’ll love, because that cat will need to depend on you for care. Not going to be a great relationship if 2-5 years down the road you find yourself sighing, reminding yourself that “it’s for the internet” and/or “I’m not a cat racist” / some other bullshit as you sign the credit card bill for $50/mo in cat food, litter, cleaning supplies, etc, or worse, $500+ in vet fees to treat an illness.
No, you need to love your cat because you love your cat. Not because a rando on the internet said you’re morally obligated to love any/all cats.
This is just my observation, but I think it’s because the communities on PeerTube decided to just give up on controlling moderation of instances (perhaps because the instances were popping up like whack a mole?)
So they opted instead to just give up on the idea of any federation on the PeerTube branch of fedi, and now we have the isolated issue of today…
::1 and the same?
…ok that was a bad pun
Wouldn’t this also kill every legitimate use of VPN? Like, what every fucking company uses between sites, for remote workers, etc?
It’s worth mentioning that HDMI CEC is spotty on Kodi. I’ve had no problem with it on a Pi or CCwGTV, but if you try to convert a desktop or laptop into a media center PC, chances are the HDMI output won’t do CEC, and you’ll need an adapter (further reading: https://kodi.wiki/view/CEC#CEC-capable_HTPCs)
“*arr stack”?
I mean, it’s pretty much required in school. I had about 5 presentations each grade from late elementary through the end of high school
I had straight up just never considered that terminal file explorers existed. This post has opened my eyes, and so here is my Saved comment. (Maybe one day, kbin will implement saving without commenting…)
Posts like this have me longing for a Save feature…
Did you not ever have to have a controller plugged in the host and Link per player? That’s a quirk I’ve faced using my laptop as the Steam Link device, streaming from my desktop.
